The Kansas City Chiefs grabbed D.J. Alexander in the fifth round with the expectation he'd contribute immediately in the game's third phase.

That prophecy came true in Week 17 against the Oakland Raiders. The rookie linebacker blocked a punt that earned his team a win -- and earned himself AFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors.

He's the second Chief to earn the award this year. Dustin Colquitt was celebrated for his coffin-corner punts earlier in the season.
