For the fourth time in the 2015 NFL season, Cam Newton has received the nod as the NFC Player of the Week, according to Kevin Patra of NFL.com.

After torching the Green Bay Packers to the tune of 297 passing yards, three touchdowns and an additional rushing touchdown, it's no surprise that Carolina's lead man got the nod.

Newton's done some stellar things to help lead Carolina to their 8-0 start, but his ability to not only use his legs to beat teams, but also to avoid big hits, has been impressive. He may be a bit of a long shot to contend for the 2015 MVP award, but if the Panthers continue to win, there's no reason why he won't at least be in contention.

With the Tennessee Titans on deck next, the Panthers and Newton will look to extend their undefeated run as they get one step closer to the coveted 16-0.
