Chicago forward Luol Deng will not play for the Bulls when they face the Miami Heat on Monday night in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series.

Deng still isn't with the team, and coach Tom Thibodeau says he's not sure when he will rejoin the club. Deng underwent a spinal tap last week to rule out meningitis and has been sidelined since.

The Bulls also may be without guard Kirk Hinrich, who missed the last three games of Chicago's first-round series against Milwaukee with a calf injury. Hinrich will be a game-time decision.

Heat coach Erik Spoelstra says all Miami players went through shootaround Monday morning, but did not divulge his Game 1 lineup. Dwyane Wade remains listed as day-to-day with bone bruises around his knee.
