Browns quarterback Jason Campbell has never sought the spotlight. It's found him anyway.

After beginning the season as a backup and being passed over when Brandon Weeden was injured, Campbell is starting for Cleveland. Following two strong performances, he has the Browns (4-5) on the precipice of a playoff push.

It's been a personal comeback for Campbell, who was playing the best football of his career two years ago with Oakland when he broke his collarbone against the Browns. The 31-year-old spent a forgettable 2012 season backing up Jay Cutler in Chicago before signing as a free agent with the Browns in March.

He's experienced highs and lows, but the soft-spoken and well-liked Campbell has never changed. Teammates and coaches have admired his steadiness and point to Campbell's composure as a driving force behind the Browns' resurgence.
