The Alabama quarterback competition has officially been decided.

Head coach Nick Saban appointed Jacob Coker as the starter in the season opener versus Wisconsin on Saturday night. The head coach also announced that Cooper Bateman would play.

Coker was embroiled in a three-way battle with Bateman and Alec Morris for the starting gig. Considering Coker was the most experienced of the trio, it surely was a contributing factor in him becoming the starter.
