Brazilian striker Neymar signs 5-year contract with Barcelona

Brazilian striker Neymar is officially a Barcelona player.

Neymar signed a five-year contract with the Spanish powerhouse on Monday, two days after announcing he decided to join the Catalan club instead of Real Madrid.

The financial details of the transfer were not released.

Neymar, who thrived with Brazilian club Santos, posted a message Monday on Twitter and Instagram saying that "here it ends this wonderful passage with a special club."

The 21-year-old star will join up with Brazil's Confederations Cup squad on Tuesday.
