Bohannon to guide Kennesaw State football

Former Georgia Tech assistant coach Brian Bohannon has been named head football coach of the Kennesaw State program which begins play in 2015.

The Owls will play on the Football Championship Subdivision level.

Bohannon spent the last five seasons under his mentor, Paul Johnson, as the quarterbacks/B-backs coach in Georgia Tech's spread option offense.

He has 17 years of coaching experience at the college level, also at Navy, Georgia Southern and Gardner-Webb.

The former Georgia player will be introduced at an on-campus news conference on Tuesday.
