Blue Jays add infield depth, trade for Dodgers' Barney

The Toronto Blue Jays' infield and lineup took a hit when Troy Tulowitzki exited Saturday's game with a fractured shoulder blade.
To help add some depth and insurance, the Blue Jays traded for Darwin Barney of the Los Angeles Dodgers for cash or a player to be named later.
As noted in the tweet above, since this trade came after August 31, Barney will not be eligible for playoffs.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}The Jays hope to have Tulo back in two to three weeks. If there are no setbacks, timing should work out to have their All-Star shortstop back in early October.
