Big 12 mailbag: Is West Virginia's defense for real?

West Virginia's defense was excellent in the first three weeks of the season, but it's no secret that the Mountaineers didn't have a strong non-conference schedule. They faced their first legit offensive attack in Oklahoma on Saturday, the 'Eers got shredded to the tune of 44 points.

So what should we really make of this unit?

Oklahoma State, West Virginia's opponent this weekend, seems to have as stout of a defensive line as anyone. But ESPN's Brandon Chatmon still thinks the Mountaineers have the best defensive line in the Big 12.
