Back at last: Dodgers' Puig returns from DL, to start Saturday

The Los Angeles Dodgers activated right fielder Yasiel Puig from the disabled list prior to Saturday's game.

Puig was penciled into the sixth spot in the batting order against the San Diego Padres.

Puig had been sidelined since injuring his hamstring on Aug. 27, and it was feared that he might not return at all this season. Earlier this week, however, manager Don Mattingly told the Los Angeles Times that Puig's recent progress was "miraculous."

Limited to 77 games this season because of multiple hamstring injuries, Puig is hitting .256/.324/.440 with 11 homers and 38 RBI.
