Austin Kearns signs one-year deal to return to Indians

NEW YORK (Reuters) - The Cleveland Indians have brought back outfielder Austin Kearns, signing the former player to a one-year contract, the team said on Monday.

The Indians did not release financial terms but local media reported the contract was worth $1.3 million.

Kearns, 30, spent the first four months of the 2010 season in Cleveland before being traded to the New York Yankees. He hit .263 for the year.
