Angels' Giavotella to be sidelined with 'personal medical condition'

Los Angeles Angels infielder Johnny Giavotella had been feeling a bit under the weather lately, and on Tuesday the club placed him on the 15-day disabled list as a result.
The reasoning was officially cited as a 'personal medical condition', an intentionally vague description that falls within MLB's rules pertaining to non-baseball related medical situations.
To fill Giavotella's place on the 25-man roster, the Halos called up reliever Drew Rucinski prior to Tuesday's game with the Detroit Tigers.

MLB.com's Alden Gonzalez reported that Giavotella stopped by the Angels' clubhouse on Sunday (though he was unavailable to play), and the 28-year-old offered this up in terms of his progress: "It's going to take me a couple more days to get back. But I'm feeling good again, getting my strength back up, and after a few days I should be fine."
In Giavotella's absence, Grant Green is expected to play second base full-time...although he suffered a bit of a minor injury in Tuesday night's game, as reported on Twitter by Mike DiGiovanna of the L.A. Times:
In 2015, Giavotella is hitting .265/.312/.350 with 112 hits in 423 official at-bats for the Angels.
