Andy Reid: Chiefs will split carries in Charles' absence

Jamaal Charles accounted for nearly 40 percent of Kansas City's offense this season.
That's 92 offensive touches through five weeks that the Chiefs have to entrust elsewhere. And they're certainly planning on spreading snaps around vs. the Vikings on Sunday.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}"You know you're not going to replace Jamaal (lost to a torn ACL)," head coach Andy Reid told reporters. "That's not how you go about it. You find out and (take advantage of) the strengths of those other players."
That's a smart play by Reid. No one player can step in and product like Charles, but maybe multiple players can patch something comparable together.
Next man up? The running back Reid said resembles No. 25 the most, Charcandrick West. Veteran reserve Knile West could also factor in.
