Two people familiar with the trade say the Philadelphia Eagles have acquired running back Darren Sproles from the New Orleans Saints for a fifth-round draft pick.
The move Thursday comes during a busy first week of NFL free agency for the Eagles.
According to one person with knowledge of the deal, the Saints get the second of Philadelphia's two fifth-round picks in May. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the trade wasn't announced by the teams.
