Horror Maestro Wes Craven's Home Selling in Hollywood Hills
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}What do "The King of Cool" actor Steve McQueen and maestro of horror director Wes Craven have in common? They have both owned this Mid-Century Modern compound in the Hollywood Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles. It's now pending sale with a list price of $3.3 million.
The 3,594-square-foot home, which features floor-to-ceiling windows, cityscape views, and a Zen garden, is touted as "perfect for creative minds." That sounds about right -- Craven bought the home in 1992, after which he directed and produced many blockbusters, including "Scream."
The three-bedroom home features an open floor plan with post-and-beam design. Two koi ponds, water fountains, a saltwater pool and spa, and a pergola-covered patio are a few other soothing outdoor features on the nearly half-acre lot.

Craven died of brain cancer in 2015; he was 76. He is widely credited with reviving the horror genre with titles such as the first "Nightmare on Elm Street," "The Hills Have Eyes," and "Wishmaster."
