The White House says President Barack Obama is in excellent health and will stay that way for the rest of his time in office.

The White House on Thursday released a summary from Obama's doctor following the president's physical exam last month.

The report says Obama continues to make healthy lifestyle choices. He eats a healthy diet, exercises daily and remains tobacco-free. Obama is a former smoker.

He also drinks alcohol occasionally and in moderation.

It's the first report on Obama's health that the White House has released in nearly three years.
