Shia LaBeouf’s publicist says the “Nymphomaniac” actor is seeking help to battle alcohol addiction. According to a statement obtained by The Wrap, the actor is not checking himself into rehab but is seeking outside help.

"Contrary to previous erroneous reports, Shia LaBeouf has not checked into a rehabilitation facility but he is voluntarily receiving treatment for alcohol addiction. He understands that these recent actions are a symptom of a larger health problem and he has taken the first of many necessary steps towards recovery. There will be no further comments made at this time."

The actor was photographed carrying an Alcoholics Anonymous book.

LaBeouf’s antics last Thursday were fueled by booze, according to the New York Post's Page Six. “Drinking and Shia do not mix well,” said a source to E! News. “But he definitely wasn’t on any kind of drugs.”
