Jeff Gordon and country music sensation Brad Paisley have been friends for several years, having memorably appeared together in the music video for Paisley's 2011 hit single "Old Alabama," which was filmed in part at the Hendrick Motorsports campus in Charlotte, North Carolina.
On Friday night, the two amigos who bear a striking rememblance to one another were together again -- for the annual Hendrick Motorsports Christmas party.
Only this time, Paisley's appearance was a complete surprise to the four-time Sprint Cup Series champion and soon-to-be FOX NASCAR announcer, whose final race as driver of the No. 24 Hendrick Chevrolet came in last month's season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
