Details have started to emerge in the arrest of Atlanta Hawks player Mike Scott on drug charges for alleged possession of marijuana and MDMA.

According to Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, who reported that he had obtained a copy of the police report from Scott's arrest, Scott admitted to possession of the drugs, claiming that his brother, who was reportedly driving the vehicle and was also arrested, had no knowledge of the substances.

The police report reads, in part (via Vivlamore):

"Suspect #2 (Mike Scott) stated that after the traffic stop that he advised law enforcement officers that the drugs located within the vehicle belonged to him. Suspect #2 stated that his brother was unaware of the drugs and that he takes full responsibility for the drugs."

According to Vivlamore, the league does not need to wait for the legal process to run its course in order to take disciplinary measures against Scott. Scott averaged 7.8 points and 2.9 rebounds per game in the regular season for Atlanta in 2014-15.
