Flames sign first-round pick Monahan

Calgary, AB – The Calgary Flames signed center Sean Monahan to a three-year, entry-level contract.

The Flames selected Monahan with the sixth overall pick in this year's draft.

Monahan just finished off his third season with the OHL's Ottawa 67's. He had 31 goals and a career-high 47 assists in 58 games this past season as the team captain.
