Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Kroos is expected to miss the next 6-8 weeks because of a groin injury suffered in Bayern's 2-0 Champions League triumph over Juventus on Tuesday.

The 23-year-old picked up the injury only 13 minutes into the match, and team doctor Hans-Wilhelm Mueller Wohlfahrt confirmed the timetable of 6-8 weeks for the return of Kroos after tests.

In 24 Bundesliga matches this season Kroos has netted six goals and assisted on eight more, but he won't be able to contribute much the rest of the way as Bayern looks to become the first German side to win the treble.

The club can clinch the Bundesliga crown this weekend with a win against Eintracht, while the Bavarians have reached the semifinals of the German Cup in addition to the last eight in the Champions League.
