Erik Etherly scored a season-high 24 points and Loyola (Md.) rode a big first-half run to a 74-58 victory Sunday over St. Peter's in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action.

Etherly hit 8 of 15 from the field, grabbed seven rebounds and blocked five shots. The 20-plus point effort was his second straight as he rounds into form after missing five games with a shoulder injury.

Dylon Cormier added 18 points and Robert Olson 17 for the Greyhounds (11-5, 3-1).

Cormier put Loyola ahead 19-15 with a layup with 8:32 left in the first half, then added a jumper and a free throw as the Greyhounds scored 14 consecutive points for a 32-15 advantage. Loyola maintained a double digit lead the rest of the way.

Yvon Raymond had 16 points for the Peacocks (6-8, 1-3), who shot just 25 percent (7 of 28) in the first half.
