The Brooklyn Nets' Avery Johnson and the Memphis Grizzlies' Lionel Hollins were named the NBA's Coaches of the Month for games played in October and November.

Johnson's Nets have begun the 2012-13 campaign with an 11-4 record and rank second in team scoring defense, allowing just 90.4 points per game. That has helped the club to its best start through the first 15 games in franchise history.

Hollins led the Grizzlies to the league's best record at 12-2 through their first 14 contests. Memphis' 12 victories in November were the most the club has ever posted in a single month.

Others considered for the award were Atlanta's Larry Drew, New York's Mike Woodson, Charlotte's Mike Dunlap, Miami's Erik Spoelstra, Oklahoma City's Scott Brooks and San Antonio's Gregg Popovich.
