Juan Pablo Montoya is two-for-two in the qualifying department.

Montoya led time trials for the second straight week Saturday, spinning a fast lap of 127.020 miles per hour to win the pole for Sunday’s Finger Lakes 355 Sprint Cup race at Watkins Glen International. Last week, Montoya was the top qualifier at Pocono Raceway.

Montoya’s lap set a track record.

Sunday’s race should give the winless Montoya his best shot at a Cup victory this season.

He’ll start alongside Kyle Busch, who also needs a victory to rejoin the Chase discussion.

Completing the top five were Jimmie Johnson, Brad Keselowski and Marcos Ambrose.

In the second five were Ryan Newman, Tony Stewart, Clint Bowyer, Martin Truex Jr. and Jamie McMurray.
