Pittsburgh holds off Duquesne

Pittsburgh, PA – Ashton Gibbs drained four three-pointers and 69 victory over crosstown rival Duquesne in the 80th edition of the City Game Rivalry at Consol Energy Center.

Dante Taylor had 15 points -- on a perfect 6-of-6 from the floor -- and 10 rebounds for the Panthers (6-1), who have won four in a row. Lamar Patterson netted 10 points.

Travon Woodall and John Johnson each had nine points for the victors. Woodall also had six assists.

Sean Johnson paced the Dukes (4-3) with 19 points. T.J. McConnell added 15 points to go with five steals and B.J. Monteiro tallied nine points and five rebounds.
