Nady has grand slam in D-backs' 15-8 win over Cubs

MESA, Ariz. – Xavier Nady hit a grand slam to highlight an eight-run fourth inning to lead a split squad of Arizona Diamondbacks to a 15-8 victory over the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday night.

David Winfree hit two home runs for the Diamondbacks, and Kelly Johnson added his fourth of the spring.

Joe Saunders (1-3), Arizona's No. 3 starter, gave up eight runs and six hits in 3 2-3 inningsHe walked four and struck out two.

Cubs starter Matt Garza (1-4) gave up 11 hits and seven hits with seven strikeouts in three-plus innings. His spring ERA rose to 10.38.
