AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Russell Moldenhauer homered and drove in three runs as Texas beat Rice 4-1 to win the Austin Regional on Sunday night and advance to the super regionals.

The Longhorns (49-11), who lost to LSU in the College World Series championship game last year, will face TCU (49-11) next weekend.

Taylor Jungmann (7-3) dominated the Owls (40-23) by allowing just two hits and striking out seven while throwing only 84 pitches in 7 2-3 innings.

Moldenhauer gave the Longhorns a 2-0 lead in the sixth inning when he hit an RBI double to the wall in right-center that scored Brandon Loy from second base. After two quick outs in the eighth, Tant Shepard walked on four straight balls and Moldenhauer sent the next pitch over the right-field fence.
