Report: IRS agents who didn’t pay their own taxes received more than $1 million in bonuses

ABC World News‘ Jeff Zeleny reported Tuesday on a new watchdog report revealing that IRS agents who didn’t pay their own taxes have received more than $1 million in bonuses.
 
“If you don’t pay your taxes, the IRS will come after you,” Zeleny said. “Unless you happen to work at the IRS.”
 
More than 1,000 workers who didn’t pay their taxes received not only cash bonuses but also 10,582 hours in extra time off, valued at $250,000. Of those, 69 also got raises, paid for by American taxes.
 
“I’m absolutely appalled,” said one woman interviewed by ABC.
