A plane carrying Republican vice presidential candidate Mike Pence skidded off a runway at New York's LaGuardia Airport Thursday night, the Associated Press reported. There were no reports of injuries.
"Moderate rain was occuring this evening at LaGuardia," Accuweather Meteorologist Jordan Root said "Low-cloud ceilings and the rain had caused lowered visibility as well."
The plane made a rough impact upon landing and passengers could smell burning rubber, according to the AP.
