Dry and pleasant weather will continue across the United Kingdom into this weekend, before stormier and more unsettled weather arrives next week.
A large dome of high pressure will be anchored in place across the British Isles on Saturday and Sunday, providing generally sunny afternoons. During the mornings, there could be some patches of fog in a few locations.
The weather will generally be nice on Sunday for the American football game featuring the New York Jets versus the Miami Dolphins at Wembley Stadium in London.
Sunshine will gradually give way to clouds during the game as a light southeasterly wind develops. The kickoff temperature will be a comfortable 63 degrees F (17 degrees C).
A storm system will begin moving into Ireland and the United Kingdom on Sunday night, with rain spreading into most areas by daybreak on Monday.
Unsettled, showery weather will continue through midweek, and then the remnants of Hurricane Joaquin could impact the region for the end of the week.
It is still too early to say how intense the storm will be as it approaches Ireland and the United Kingdom, or what its exact track will be, but there is at least some risk for very windy and wet weather next Friday and possibly into the weekend.
