Sunshine, Cold to Bring Great Ski Conditions Across Northern New England for Spring Breakers

As many schools are off for spring break next week, sunshine and chilly conditions are expected to make for great skiing conditions across New England.

After several snowstorms and bitterly cold temperatures controlled the winter season, ski resorts await the arrival of college students next week ready to enjoy the packed powder Mother Nature has provided.

While springlike warmth builds across most of the Northeast next week, temperatures will remain chilly across northern New England.

According to Senior Meteorologist Mike LeSeney, "While a majority of the Northeast will see a surge of warmer air next week, the cold air will hang on across northern New England through the week."

Ski resorts may have a fresh coating of snow to begin the week as a train of disturbances move through the area this weekend and early next week.

"Even with many resorts expecting to see a few snowflakes as disturbances move through next week, conditions will also be prime for producing new artificial snow," LeSeney said.

High temperatures across New England will generally range in the middle 30s to lower 40s during the early and middle part of next week before cooling into the 20s and lower 30s by the end of the week.
