Showers and thunderstorms persist, again slamming the Southeast from the Florida Panhandle to Georgia, Tennessee and even up into central Kentucky, inducing new risks of flash flooding. The thunderstorms moving through these areas have the capacity produce winds up to 40 mph.
Some of these areas have already experienced major flash flooding. In the last 30 hours Panama City Beach reported a total of 8.62 inches of rain.
Major cities at risk include, Atlanta, Nashville, Mobile and Tallahassee, Fla.
