Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey is a singer and actress who has released many popular songs since the release of her self-titled debut album in 1990. The Grammy award winning artist has released many hit songs, including her Christmas song, “All I Want for Christmas is You.” Carey was married to Nick Cannon for six years and they share twins Moroccan and Monroe.

Carey was born in Huntington, New York to parents Patricia Hickey and Alfred Roy Carey. She want to high school at Greenlawn’s Harborfields High School before she released her self titled debut album in June 1990.

Her first album including the songs “Visions of Love,” “Love Takes Time,” “Someday” and “I Don’t Wanna Cry.” After the release of this album, she got Grammy Awards for best new artist and best pop vocal performance, female.

In 1991, Carey came out with “Emotions” and then released “Music Box” in 1993. In 1994, she put out her Christmas album, “Merry Christmas.” The song "All I Want for Christmas Is You" came off that album and is a song that has remained popular years after its release.

Carey’s other albums are “Daydream,” “Butterfly,” “Rainbow,” “Glitter,” “Charmbracelet” “E=MC2,” “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel,” “Merry Christmas II You” and “Caution.”

Carey has also held various acting roles. In 1999, she was in “The Butler” and was in “WiseGirls” in 2002 and “The Butler” in 2013. In 2017, she was in the television series “Empire” and the movie “Girls Trip.”

Carey and Cannon were married from 2008 until 2016. In April 2011, the two welcomed their twins Moroccan Scott and their daughter Monroe. Before Cannon, she was married to Tommy Mottola from 1993 until 1998.
