Buffalo Bills wide receiver Sammy Watkins missed the first game of his career on Sunday after suffering a calf injury the week prior.

Watkins is still dealing with the ailment and is uncertain to play against the Tennessee Titans this week. One good sign is the fact that Watkins was on the field for practice Thursday, although he was still limited.

Rex Ryan addressed Watkins' injury and said he's not sure if he'll return this week, but it "won't be long" until he does.

This season, Watkins has caught just seven passes for 99 yards and a touchdown in just over two games of action. He left the team's Week 3 game in the first quarter due to the calf injury, so he hasn't been on the field very often in his sophomore season.

For the Bills, the sooner he gets back, the better. He was sorely missed against the New York Giants on Sunday as they put up just 10 points in the loss.
