Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Philadelphia Flyers announced on Saturday that forward Steve Downie will miss the next 7-to-10 days and forward Vincent Lecavalier will return to the lineup.

Downie, who has totaled two goals and 12 points in 20 appearances since his acquisition from Colorado on Oct. 31, was felled by an unspecified upper-body injury.

However, Lecavalier, who has missed the last nine games, will be back as Philly closes out a home-and-home series with the Blue Jackets in Columbus.

Lecavalier was expected to miss 3-to-4 weeks with a non-displaced back fracture discovered after a Nov. 30 game in Nashville.

Despite two absences in his first season with the Flyers, the former Bolts captain has picked up nine goals and 14 points in 22 games.
