Cardinals recall Wacha

St. Louis, MO – The St. Louis Cardinals recalled pitcher Michael Wacha from Triple-A Memphis and optioned pitcher Carlos Martinez to Memphis.

Wacha is slated to start Saturday's game against the Chicago Cubs. The right- hander will make his fourth start of the season for St. Louis and is 1-0 with a 4.58 ERA.

Martinez made his first start in the big leagues on Thursday against the Dodgers. The right-hander allowed four runs on seven hits over 4 2/3 innings.
