Defensive tackle Josh Chapman and receiver Griff Whalen have been big surprises to Colts' fans this summer.

The Indianapolis hierarchy expected nothing less: Chapman destroying running plays and Whalen catching almost everything.

Both are finally healthy after missing all of last season with injuries. So as the Colts hit the midway point of their three-week training camp, Chapman and Whalen have been breakout stars.

Who else has played well? Coach Chuck Pagano likes the way newcomers such as LaRon Landry and Greg Toler have fit into his defense, likes the progression of second-year tight end Coby Fleener and believes linebacker Josh McNary has made a relatively smooth transition back to football after spending the last two years in the U.S. Army.
