Denver Broncos center Dan Koppen was carted off the practice field on Sunday with an apparent leg injury.

According to KMGH-TV in Denver, Koppen was able to put pressure on the injured leg, which is promising for a prognosis. Eagles wideout Jeremy Maclin wasn't so lucky when he left practice on Saturday unable to put weight on his injured right leg, which was later diagnosed as being a torn anterior cruciate ligament.

This latest piece of news is unwelcome, since backup center C.J. Davis also suffered an apparent leg injury during Saturday's session and was sidelined on Sunday.

The 33-year-old Koppen started 12 regular-season games and one playoff contest for the Broncos last year.

Koppen took over for J.D. Walton last season after he fractured his ankle against the Oakland Raiders in Week 4. Walton underwent further surgery on his ankle and is still expected to miss a significant portion of the upcoming season.
