Michael Andretti might never have a better chance to win the Indianapolis 500 pole.
Each of his five drivers has been atop the speed charts this week. They're all using the Chevrolet engines that have clearly been faster. He has the defending series champion, a two-time race winner this season, a son off to the best start of his career and now getting back to his forte of oval-track racing and a rookie who has been one of the fastest drivers all week.
All they have to do now is hold on when pole qualifying is held Saturday.
Who else could challenge Andretti's guys? Will Power, JR Hildebrand and Oriol Servia all surged toward the top of the speed charts Friday when series officials gave the cars more horsepower.
