Teenager Logan Pix had a chance to hang out with the Stanley Cup trophy and Colorado Avalanche goalie Jean-Sebastien Giguere through the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

The 13-year-old Pix was completely surprised when the trophy was brought into his room Wednesday just as nurses finished drawing blood. Later, he had a surprise of his own: Joining his youth hockey team on the ice for his first practice six months. And who should join them? Giguere, of course, one of Pix's favorite players.

The NHL, Discover and Make-A-Wish teamed up to grant the request of Pix, who always had a hankering to hold the trophy. But not hoist it over his head. He said that's reserved only for players who win it.

Pix is being treated for a form of bone cancer.
