Dylon Cormier scored 19 points, pulled down eight rebounds and dished out four assists to lead Loyola (Md.) to a 65-53 win over Towson on Monday night in the 71st meeting between the programs.

Cormier was 6 of 19 from the field but made 7 of 9 free throws and grabbed five of his rebounds on the offensive end. Robert Olsen, who scored 20 points against Rhode Island on Friday, chipped in 15 points for Loyola (6-1), which built a 36-26 halftime lead.

Towson (3-3) made the first two baskets of the second half to cut the deficit to 36-30 but Olsen hit a 3-pointer — assisted by Cormier — to give Loyola the lead for good.

Towson shot 32.1 percent — including 2 of 12 from deep — and committed 15 turnovers. Loyola scored 17 points off those errors.

Jerome Hairston (13 points) was Towson's only player in double-figures.
