The Vancouver Canucks have acquired center round picks in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

Pahlsson was in the final season of a three-year contract he signed with the Jackets in the summer of 2009. Known mostly for his checking ability, he has two goals and nine assists for 11 points in 61 games this season.

The 34-year-old native of Sweden will head from the worst team in the Western Conference to the club with the best record.

In 779 games over 11 NHL seasons with Boston, Anaheim, Chicago and Columbus, Pahlsson has 66 goals and 127 assists for 193 points. He has nine goals and 28 points in 81 playoff games, winning a Stanley Cup title with the Ducks in the spring of 2007.

The Canucks also added right wing Andrew Gordon from Anaheim in exchange for defenseman Sebastien Erixon. Gordon has two goals and three assists in 37 games this season.
