San Antonio, TX – San Antonio Spurs guard Gary Neal underwent an appendectomy on Monday.
Neal averaged 9.8 points and 2.5 rebounds in 80 games as a rookie for the Spurs last season. He led all rookies in three-point field goal percentage (41.9).
After a week without any physical activity, Neal will be examined by doctors at which point a timeline for his return will be determined.
