Colorado Rockies manager Walt Weiss just put his picturesque beachfront home in Captiva, FL, on the market.

Listed for just under $2.2 million, the 1,680-square-foot home isn't as big as Pat Hentgen's sprawling estate slightly farther north in Tarpon Springs, FL, but the island getaway has plenty to offer.

The home was designed to take advantage of all that sunny South Florida has to offer. The living room, decked out in wainscoting, has large windows to keep the room bright and a fireplace to keep things cozy. The guest bedrooms and bathrooms have both windows and skylights, but the true All-Star is the home's dining room. Wall-to-wall sliding glass doors add a ton of light and offer a great view of the palm trees, the white sands, and the Gulf of Mexico.

Upstairs, the master bedroom has a beach atmosphere, with white wainscoting, sky-blue walls, and hardwood floors. The best part of the room is the sliding glass doors leading to a private deck with awesome water views.

A large loft upstairs also adds space and, with its two skylights, even more sunlight to the home.

Located in the Sunset Captiva community, the home is walking distance to plenty of outdoor amenities, including a swimming pool, tennis courts, and barbecue grills. And, it's just a short walk down a sandy path to the public beach.

Far away from the beach and a mile high out in Denver, Weiss and the Rockies have had a rough start to the 2015 season. Currently sitting in last place in the National League West Division, the team has been plagued by pitching problems. Now in his third season as the Rockies' boss, Weiss has a contract that takes him through the 2016 season. But whether the former All-Star player will make it to the end of his managerial contract is up for debate.
