President Obama’s approval rating has dropped to 39 percent amid the problems plaguing the ObamaCare rollout, according to a new poll by Quinnipiac University released Tuesday.

The poll says 54 percent of Americans disapprove of Obama’s job performance and 39 percent approve, which is the president’s lowest approval rating in the Quinnipiac poll since he became president.

“Like all new presidents, President Barack Obama had a honeymoon with American voters, with approval ratings in the high 50s,” Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute said. “As the marriage wore on, he kept his job approval scores in the respectable, though not overwhelming, 40s. Today, for the first time it appears that 40 percent floor is cracking.”

Obama’s approval rating even dropped with women, with 54 percent disapproving, up from 49 percent on October 1.

Additionally, for the first time a majority of Americans, 52 percent, said they do not find President Obama honest and trustworthy. Nearly half of voters polled said they believe the president “knowingly deceived” Americans when he promised they could keep their existing health plans under ObamaCare.

“Any Democrat with an 11-point approval deficit among women is in trouble. And any elected official with an 8-point trust deficit is in serious trouble,” Malloy said. “President Obama’s job approval rating has fallen to the level of former President George W. Bush at the same period of his presidency.”
