A new Muppet character will be introduced in the new "Muppets" movie, it was revealed Tuesday.

Actor Jason Segel, who co-wrote, produces and stars in the film, said the new Muppet will be his character's roommate, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Segel introduced a clip of the Disney movie with his co-star Amy Adams at Las Vegas' CinemaCon -- a convention of movie theater owners from around the world.

He explained to those at the preview that he has loved "The Muppets" since he was a child. He said they were his first comedic influence.

The Thanksgiving family film will also have four new musical acts as well as the new Muppet.

The film is set around an attempt by Segel and Adams' characters endeavor to reunite the Muppets, who are scattered all over the world, including Miss Piggy, who is living in Paris.

The Muppets -- a group of puppet characters -- were created by Jim Henson in the mid-1950s.
