A man has died in a landslide in Bosnia, which has been hit by a wave of bad weather that also closed down roads, flooded villages and disturbed power supplies throughout the Balkan region.

Bosnian authorities say the man was killed by a pile of mud, rocks and trees that smashed his car while he was driving in central Bosnia early Friday.

Serbian emergency officials say more than two dozen people were forced to leave their flooded homes in the west of the country. In Croatia, most roads connecting the Adriatic coast with the central parts of the country have been closed due to strong winds and snow.

The region was hit by massive flooding last May when nearly 80 people died and about 140,000 had to leave their homes.
