Authorities in Mexico say a man has confessed to killing at least five women, all but one of them minors, in the northern state of San Luis Potosi.

The state attorney general's office says 43-year-old Filiberto Hernandez Martinez was arrested Saturday after confessing to committing the killings since 2010.

A statement says authorities have found the remains of only three of the victims — a 32-year-old factory worker, a 13-year-old girl and a 9-year-old girl.

The statement says the teenager's body was found three years ago after she went missing. It says the other two bodies were found Friday. The girl disappeared in April and the woman in May.

Officials are searching for the remains of the two other victims. One has been missing since 2010, the other since 2013.
