Woman dies after being gored by bull in small Spanish town festival

MADRID – An Interior Ministry official say a woman has died after being gored by a bull during a small town festival in central Spain.

A spokeswoman said Monday the woman aged 58 died in hospital in the provincial capital of Albacete after she was gored in the abdomen during a running of bulls a day earlier in the small town of Ferez.

Three other people were injured by the bull, including the woman's daughter.

The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because of ministry rules prevent her from being named.

Bull runs are a staple of Spanish town festivals.
