Carmelo Anthony has 13 NBA seasons under his belt but is still seeking his first title. Though the Larry O'Brien Trophy continues to elude him, the nine-time All-Star did get to see his former teammate J.R. Smith celebrate with the Cavs.
Smith's celebration lasted for days, as the flamboyant shoot guard lived up the moment while opting not to wear a shirt. It became such an indelible image that even President Obama asked Cavs head coach Tyronn Lue to make sure Smith wore a shirt when the team visits the White House.
So how did Melo feel about Smith's shirtless shenanigans?
"I love it," Anthony said, via ESPN. "I probably would have done the same thing. I know if I win, I'm wearing my uniform everywhere. I might still have my tape on and my tights on. There's no telling what I would do if I win a championship."
Anthony's chances at a title certainly were helped this offseason, when the Knicks added Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah. That should be enough to end the New York's three-year playoff drought, but will it be enough to make a deep run in the playoffs?
